Ms. Brown began practicing law in 1990. In 1996 she became a shareholder of the firm Fischer, Brown & Gunn, P.C., now known as Fischer, Brown, Bartlett & Gunn, P.C. Her primary areas of emphasis are estate planning, probate and trust administration. Ms. Brown’s practice encompasses a broad range of client needs, from basic wills and trusts to sophisticated tax planning for large estates (including the preparation of irrevocable life insurance trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, family partnerships and limited liability companies, dynasty trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, and charitable lead and remainder trusts).
Ms. Brown received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University in 1986 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1990. Throughout her professional career, Ms. Brown has been actively involved with various community boards and committees. She currently is on the Boards of Directors for the Verus Bank of Commerce and the Poudre School District Foundation.
Ms. Brown also serves on the Planned Giving Committee of the Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation, and is a member of WomenGive (a partnership between United Way of Larimer County and The Woman’s Foundation of Colorado). Ms. Brown’s past community service includes being the President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Fort Collins Area United Way (now known as the Larimer County United Way). She served on the Executive Committee for the Larimer County Bar Association, the Board of Directors for the Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation, and the Board of Directors for the Downtown Development Authority.
